Fashion Week: Pleated Top and Black Shorts

Hi Everyone!

Last week was very hectic but at the same time I had lots of fun. I attended my very first Fashion Week. 

I was going through twitter and saw a contest by Elle India where one could win passes for the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week SS'14 and that to for designer Nachiket Barve and Nida Mahmood's show. I thought of giving it a chance. So, I took part in that contest and I really had fun giving all the answers and luckily I won.  I could not believe that I was actually going to attend this event and I was really excited. 

I chose to wear my Bizarre blue pleated top and my black shorts to go with it. I kept the total outfit light and airy as I wanted to be comfortable and enjoy the show.

I had loads of fun at the show! Really amazing work by the designers. I was blown by the neutral colours and the fossil look which Nachiket used in his collection and in contrast he used red for some of his designs.

On the other hand Nida's show was based on funky Bollywood style. Her outfits had amazing digital prints with flashy masks. I really liked the music with the Gabbar's laugh in it.

Weekly Tip: Metallic Dress

Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 is going to start from today and I'm very excited to let you guys know that I'm going to attend the famous designer Nachiket Barve's show today. I will be updating the details of the show soon.

So, I was thinking what to wear for the show and suddenly 'metallic dress' came to my mind. And I thought why not writing a weekly tip on it.

Metallic dresses are very good for attending an event or night parties. These dresses stand out among the crowd and so does the person who is wearing it.

Select a metallic dress and you are good to go. You will look good as well as you will have that spark in your outfit which will make you the center of attraction. We all like a little attention don't we?

I have a metallic dress too which is one of my favorite piece in my closet and I have also shared it with you in my previous post ( Here ).

I hope you all like this party dress theme. I'm going to get ready for the show now. Really excited!

Photo Shoot: Embroidery Skirt and Printed Top

Hi Everyone!

Wish all of you a very Happy Navratri! 

We are finally over with our traveling video for Kesrauli, which will be our first video on our youtube channel and I will soon share the same with you all. I'm very excited and hope you all will like it. 

Today I have paired my favorite Zara flair skirt again with a printed top. I have already paired this in one of my previous post ( Here ). 

Last weekend we felt very lethargic to go out and shoot. So, we thought of covering the shoot at home only. We ran some test shots and we really liked the results which came out and I felt very free to pose for the camera too. Now, we are also considering our room as our shoot location ;).

Weekly Tip: Office Wear

Hi Everyone,

    Today's post is about Formal Wear. People choose formal wear as their office wear as we know. But the picture of formal wear has turned tremendously over the years. People not only prefer to dress-up formally in the office but also for a formal outing.

 Formal wear no longer means those boring shirts and pants. High-waist skirts, Peplum, One piece dresses, Jackets etc, are also included in the formal wear. One can look very stylish in a plain shirt or top and tight pants with a jacket and a pair of heels in the office. The 'nerd' glasses will also add up to the look. You can also wear loafers or bellies in office for more comfort and they look equally sexy.

 

 You can also play with your hair to give that edge to your entire look by making a simple pony-tail with a puff or a bun or just leaving them free. You can also use those plain colored bands if you want to leave your hair free as you wouldn't like your hair to disturb you while working.

One doesn't have to shop crazy for the office wear. Just a simple addition will do the magic. Try doing something different everyday. Be it your top, your bottom, your hair or your shoes.

Gone are the days when Office or Formal wear meant only 'Black and White'. You can now carry almost every color to pair with your formals. So GIRLS!!!!! Get out of those boring formals and bring some color and style to the office. Who knows the energy might as well bring a PROMOTION!!! along with.

Lovely Hearts: Metallic Details Tee and Printed Pants

Hi Everyone!

Printed pants are so much in this season and when I saw this small heart shaped pattern jeans, I got so excited as my size was available. I was looking for printed Jeans for a long time. The added benefit in these pants are the zippers. The zipper at both ends is giving the whole thing an edgy look and I love it.

With the pants I have paired my metallic detail Tee. This Tee is giving the whole outfit a very modern look. The two contrasting colors are giving a very nice monochromatic look.

I'm working on a very special and important thing which I will share with you guys soon. I'm very excited and I hope you all will love it too :)

Weekly Tip: Bermuda Shorts

Hi Everyone!

Bermuda Shorts are very comfortable to wear and it gives you a very casual and cool look. Bermuda shorts are very famous among boys but these are the hottest new casual look for girls too.

This year in Fashion Week some of the famous brands like MULBERRY , WHISTLES , EMILIA WICKSTEAD used them in their shows and they looks insanely cool and trendy.

Bermuda shorts are the coolest way to beat the heat. You can feel the comfort wearing these at an outdoor get together, shopping, informal meeting and lots more. You can even wear this in home and relax.

You can wear a high waist bermuda shorts with a crop top or wear it with your peplum top. It will look good with a loose tee shirt or a flowy top. If you want to give it more structure you can use a belt or a coat on top of it.

Style always look good when you are comfortable and enjoy what you are wearing. Bermuda Shorts are the right way to look great and at the same time feel comfortable.
